01Who we are
Rishi Darshan, a spiritual monthly video magazine of Sant Shri Asharamji Ashram, is published, distributed and offered to subscribers by Hari Om Manufacturers (“we”, “us”).
This policy explains what personal data we keep when you use this website, the member area or the Rishi Darshan app, why we keep it, and the choices you have. It goes together with our Terms of Use.
02What we keep
- Your membership details: your name, your email address or mobile number, your postal address if you give one, the plan you chose, and your membership number and dates.
- Your password is used only to sign you in. This website never shows it to anyone and never keeps a readable copy of it.
- What you save while watching: My List, the videos you like and where you stopped in each video, so you can carry on from any device.
- Messages you send from the Contact Us page: your name, mobile number, email address if you give it, and your message.
- Payments are made on our payment partner’s secure page. We receive a confirmation of the payment — never your card, UPI or bank details.
03How we use it
- To create and run your membership and let you sign in.
- To play the videos your membership includes, and to protect them: while a member video plays, your email address and membership number are shown faintly over it, so that recordings cannot be passed around.
- To answer your messages and questions.
- To show you information about your membership, such as when it ends.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.
04Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. It is shared only where that is needed to provide the service:
- our payment partner, to take your payment;
- Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them — they tell us your name and email address so that we can recognise you;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
The free highlight videos on this website are played from YouTube. YouTube may set its own cookies when you play one, and its own privacy policy applies to them.
05Cookies and storage on your device
We use only the cookies the site needs to work: one that keeps you signed in, a short-lived one that lets a member video play, and one for the people who run the admin panel. Your list, likes and viewing progress are also kept in your browser so the site responds at once.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that follow you around the web.
06Your location
The “Find the nearest ashram” button on the Contact Us page asks your browser for your location only when you tap it. The nearest ashram is worked out on your own device — your location is never sent to us.
07How long we keep it
We keep your membership details while you are a member, and afterwards for as long as the law requires us to keep records of payments. Contact messages are kept so that we can follow them up, and are removed when they are no longer needed.
08Your choices
You can ask us at any time to show you the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to contact@rishidarshan.org from the email address or mobile number of your membership. Some records, such as payment records, may have to be kept for as long as the law requires.
09Keeping it safe
Your connection to this website is encrypted. Sign-in sessions are sealed so that they cannot be read or changed, member videos are delivered in encrypted form, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run the service.
10Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
11Questions and complaints
The trust of our members matters to us. If any question is left unanswered here, or you have a complaint about how your data is handled, write to contact@rishidarshan.org or call 079-61210742/714.
